Please Pick yourself Off the Floor!

Now that Gracie's readers have picked themselves off the floor and continue to read this post, thank you for returning.
Gracie has been busy unlike her blogger.

Gracie started 7th grade in school. enjoyed most of her new classes. She started playing the French Horn in Beginning Band. She seemed to enjoy making loud noises at first. Her parents loved going to her Winter Concert.
Several friends from Elementary school got School lockers all in a row. passing period seemed like fun.

Her school experience quickly morphed into a very difficult time for her. Gracie's Grandmother loved rainbows. Gracie also finds enjoyment drawing rainbows. She even has rainbow colored shoe laces.
Middle school turned into a very difficult time for her. Students she didn't know asked her regularly about her personal leanings, Gay, straight, Bi, and several other options. It became a lot for a 12 year old to process. she begged to stay home nearly everyday.

When her father was in school there were only 2 options to consider. My, how things have changed. Remarkably, when speaking with administrators, Gracie's concerns were considered overblown. The school and district did not want to found "intolerant" There was no effort made to help Gracie.

Speaking with parents of a few of Gracie's friends, this was becoming wide spread. Gracie has since been enrolled in an on line school with a few other friends.  She enjoys the freedom, perhaps a bit too much.

Schools are going to run the good kids off and end up with...well I don't know. I'm glad you've taken measures to remove this stress from your wonderful daughter. Such a shame.

Have a fabulous day, my friend. ♥
