Happy Birthday to Gracie! Good bye Elementary School!

Gracie finished her time in Elementary School this month. At times she seems ready and excited to move on the Middle School, other times she wants to stay a kid. As an only child she doesn't have siblings to watch advance and prepare her for the move.
Mommy and Dadda were there for her Culmination from 6th grade. Dadda teared up and was glad to be in the back of the room so fewer people might see him as the class marched in.
It was hard for him to believe the last 7 years went by so fast. From a little girl to a young lady in such a short time.



Gracie had her birthday last week. Her party was at a family friends house with a giant lovely back yard and pool area. A big rock slide and river float path under a bridge. Plans came together rather late, yet there was still a nice turn out of friends from school and church.
Dadda had the easy job of picking up the pizza and playing back up lifeguard for the girls.Mommy sat by the pool and watched the girls frolic and play.  He mostly sat with another dad and chatted. It was a great party for him.
Gracie wanted to bake and decorate her own birthday cupcakes. They must have been tasty. Dadda didn't get a chance at one. They were gone quickly. She loves to use brownie mix with chocolate chips and sprinkles on top.
