Gracie would not allow her parents to call her a 5th grader all summer. She was determined to remain a 4th grader until the last second before stepping into her 5th grade classroom. That was exactly what happened. Mommy and Dadda both took her to her first day of 5th grade. During lineup before class Dadda called Gracie a 5th grader and she replied, "not yet"
She is funny that way.
Art is still her favorite subject with math at the bottom of the list. She is showing an increased sense of independence this year, making her own breakfast and packing her lunch by herself. Now, Mommy and Dadda just want her to walk to school.

Well, she was a 5th grader when she deemed herself a 5th grader. That's how she rolls.
