It is hard to imagine so much time has passed since Gracie's last post. Gracie has been busy. She made back to back weekend trips to Utah to visit Grampa and then the next weekend for his funeral services. Gracie is out of grandparents, but a kind couple from her church have stepped in as surrogate grandparents and have been taking good care of her. Gracie gives them big hugs every Sunday when she gets to church. They have many grandkids, so they are very adept at grandparenting.
Gracie finished 4th grade last week. She didn't seem to like her teacher this year, but was sad at the end of the year. Please don't call her a 5th grader until she starts school in August. It just makes her mad.
Gracie took her Mommy to her family reunion at "The Beach House" Mommy's family has been going every other year for decades. Gracie loves to see her cousins from so far away. She was very excited to go because the reunion started the day she finished school.
The beach house isn't too far away from Gracie's house so Dadda drives up after work and then sleeps in his own bed every night. ( He doesn't like sleeping in strange beds) Gracie left a few of her stuffed animals on Mommy's side of the bed to keep him from being alone. Isn't she thoughtful?

I'm glad Gracie has surrogate grandparents. So important for them.
I won't mention that's she's a 5th grander until she starts school. I don't what her to be angry with me.
