Grampa came back into town this weekend. He has been gone since July. He broke his neck just days after going home from his last visit and has been recovering ever since.
Gracie has been so excited since she learned he would be coming back for a visit. Saturday morning we were to pick him up from the airport. Gracie literally asked every minute if it was time to go get Grampa. She finally understood it would be another 21/2 hours and stopped asking about the time.
Grampa came to see Gracie receive an award at school. She is now a Golden Bear! Grampa was sad that he missed being there for Gracie's first day of school. He went with one of Gracie's older cousins years ago and wanted to go with her also. Then he broke his neck and spent the next 4 months in a medical halo.
Gracie has been playing Chutes and Ladders and Candyland with Grampa. Somehow she wins most of the time. Gracie and Grampa are also quite involved in craft projects as well. Dadda had a good chuckle the other day when he asked if he could snuggle with her and she replied " Grampa and I doing crafts!"
Pictures to follow soon.

Yep dads are special but grandpas are extra special. You'll just have to take a backseat. I'm glad grandpa healed up and is visiting again.
Have a terrific day. My best to Miss Gracie. :)
Wow~ Broke his neck? I am so glad he is recovered/ing and able to spend time with his Gracie face.
Welcome back Grandpa!
And don't feel too bad about Chutes and Ladders. Those chutes get me all the time too.
