The Boss?

Robes and his parents after blessing his son Ian

Robes on his mission in France. They must really do things different there.

While Mommy and Daddy were watching a rather popular sporting contest there appeared as the half time entertainment a fellow described as "The Boss". Mommy was fondly recalling her past and the time she went to a musical concert by the aforementioned entertainer, escorted by her friend Robert "Robes" Patton.
Robes made the event special for Mommy. His background information on each song and the people in the band made for a most enjoyable evening.
She felt that we should pay tribute to Robes who tragically passed away because of a brain tumor at age 39. He left behind a beautiful young wife and three adorable children, with a few pictures from the Robes Patton Collection. These pictures are copyrighted and are used with express written consent to the Robes Patton Photograph Collection Foundation. Any retransmission of these pictures is expressly forbidden.

Don't let the keeper of the photos scare you too much.

I didn't know that you guys knew Robes or Ellen. That's cool. I love Ellen's blog but haven't had the pleasure of meeting her yet.
Never had the pleasure of meeting Robes, either.
Glad to hear that so many people have good memories of him.
