No Land of the Lost for You Missy!

Tonight Gracie is in serious TROUBLE! Gracie took her parents out to a local Mexican restaurant for dinner. It is one of Mommy's favorites.
Mommy and Dadda have been trying to teach Gracie acceptable table manners with little success. Gracie took a bite of food and decided she didn't like it. She wanted to spit it out. She has been told on NUMEROUS occasions all she needed is to chew a little, swallow the food and the bad taste would be gone.
Once more she began to fuss and fuss. Dadda tried to calmly instruct Gracie about her options. Chewing and swallowing was the preferred method and spitting out the food would have extreme consequences for her. She chose the latter.
She is now in her bed for the night without Land of the Lost to watch for a few days. She also lost snuggling privileges for a few days also. It seems the entire family is being punished.
Gracie did hear from her Dadda how much he loved her and that she must learn to make better choices.

Good for you not giving in to that adorable little face! It is hard though, isn't it? Hope that no cuddle time goes quickly for you! I am sure we are well on our way to work on not spitting out food too...it is a new development that Ry has so wonderfully picked up on. Good luck!

Spit it out Gracie.

You don't need to swallow it to know that you don't like it.

A little folded napkin will do nicely. You have to fold it to catch all of the spit and keep your hands dry. BUT ... we never make a fuss about it. We just try it, find that we don't like it, spit quietly into the little napkin, and say "No thank you" to second bites.

No snuggle time? Really? Wade.

Oh ... Gracie? For the record. I swallow. It's actually a super fast way to get rid of the bad taste. It totally works if you want to try it.
