Gracie and her favorite Uncle Brent
The LA Times that did the trick.
This morning Dadda went out to buy the LA Times Sunday paper weekend edition. You know the one that comes out a day early on Saturday. His plan was to tell the late rising Uncle Brent that he had slept all through his birthday and he needed to get ready for church. He even had Mommy and Gracie to help out with the ruse.
Uncle Brent bought it hook, line and sinker. He tried to explain that his calendar said it was the 17th. "You never marked off the 17th because you were asleep all day."
"You had several visitors stop by to wish you happy birthday, but we had to send them away telling them to return your gifts to the store."
Dadda is one very mean guy!!
After Mommy teased Brent for a few minutes she let Brent in on the joke asking him what he wanted for his birthday breakfast. French Toast for all.
